A unique school:

École de Danse Nadejda L. Loujine welcomes you in a modern and warm setting in Pantin. While giving pride of place to classical dance, our school also teaches character dance, offering dancers a new route to professionalization.

Our teaching methods

Ballet and character dance classes

Our classes consist of preparatory exercises in the middle and at the barre, followed by sequences.

For character dance, "studies" and variations complete the technical work, enriched with geographical, ethnological, mythical and legendary details.

A personalized approach

Classes are studied at several levels to integrate the different qualities of movement, their meaning and musicality. It's then up to each individual to reappropriate these suites, to add "the leap of fantasy, the salt of personality" and to rediscover the pleasure of character dancing in group or solo.

Open to all levels

These classes are open to all, whatever your level. Come and join us as we dance our way from Russia to Central Asia... And along the gypsy path!

THE MAIN BASICS OF CHARACTER DANCE

2ND YEAR

TEACHING CHARACTER DANCE.

Level I

- Proof of high-level dance practice from a conservatory or approved structure (CHAD, end of 2nd cycle at a conservatory, training center, EAT, etc.).
- D.E or dispensation to teach classical or contemporary dance
- Be up to date with tuition fees (ask for registration pack)

Level II

- Completion of Level I
- Be up to date with tuition fees for the level concerned
From level II, it is possible to begin memory work for level III.

Level III

- Completion of level II
- Present a dissertation on a topic related to character dance
- Be up to date with tuition fees for the level concerned

Entry criteria :

At least 18 years of age, or with a waiver (agreement of parents or guardian)

File creation :

National identity card
Parental authorization to start the course
Civil liability insurance certificate
Cover letter
Preliminary interview with Nadejda L. LOUJINE, Training Manager

For each level to be validated, the candidate must :

Submit a complete file
Completion of the entire curriculum for the year in question (see test schedule on the document to be collected).
Have your logbook validated
Paid training fees
Prove your motivation by having carried out personal work in complementary workshops of your choice, provided by recognized organizations.
Have taken part in the end-of-course examination and interview before a jury chosen by the Nadejda L. LOUJINE School of Dance. LOUJINE (the jury is free to validate only part of the skills, which can be completed the following year.

Summer courses

The association La Geste du Loup Gris regularly organizes character dance events in Paris. La Geste du Loup Gris invites personalities to explore the relationship between dance and the other arts. These events take the form of workshops, major dance courses in Paris, conferences and seminars in Paris and the provinces.

Classical dance, character dance, jazz dance, theater. All levels, for adults and teenagers, children. With Nadejda L. Loujine, Miki Imai and Anaïse Confetti.
