Who are we?
La Geste du Loup Gris is an association dedicated to dance, particularly character dance. Our aim is to disseminate the creations and support the teaching career of Nadejda L. Loujine, former professor of character dance at the École du Ballet de l'Opéra National de Paris and visiting professor at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of New York.
Our character dance
Character dance is not exclusively a matter of folklore. It takes them on and transposes them into theatrical works.
Nadejda L. Loujine explores and reinvents universes inspired by distant lands from Russia to Central Asia, while questioning our contemporary world. Nadejda L. Loujine's character-driven dance invites us to reappropriate choreographies, to add "the leap of the spirit, the salt of a personality", and to rediscover the pleasure of group or solo dance.
